Trump Claims All Cabinet Members Are 'Extremely Happy With Elon' as Musk Joins First Official Cabinet Meeting

At his first Cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump declared that all his top officials were "extremely happy" with Elon Musk's role in the administration, despite growing internal pushback over Musk's aggressive cost-cutting measures within the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

While not a Cabinet member, Musk has been given significant influence over federal efficiency initiatives, leading efforts to slash spending and streamline government operations. However, his recent push to force millions of federal employees to justify their jobs or risk termination has caused backlash, with some agency heads rejecting his directives, CBS News reported.

On Wednesday, during the Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump invited Musk to speak about DOGE's progress, praising him for identifying wasteful spending.

Musk reiterated his goal of reducing government fraud by 15% and insisted that all savings were transparently documented, despite reports of discrepancies.

Trump also used the meeting to double down on his claims that his officials supported Musk's leadership, posting on Truth Social that "ALL CABINET MEMBERS ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH ELON."

When pressed by reporters, no Cabinet members spoke out against Musk, leading Trump to proclaim the meeting a success.

Despite Trump's public show of support, Musk's methods continue to stir controversy.
