Trump blasts Omarosa as a 'lowlife' in light of her book claiming he's a racist

NEW YORK_President Donald Trump went low.

The commander-in-chief on Saturday called former White House aide and fellow reality TV star Omarosa Manigault Newman a "lowlife."

The name-calling came in response to a question about a series of explosive claims in Manigault Newman's forthcoming book about her time in the Trump administration.

A reporter asks Trump if he feels betrayed by Omarosa, to which he responds: "Lowlife. She's a lowlife."

In "Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House," the former "Apprentice" star paints the president as a racist who casually dropped the N-word during tapings of the show.

She also alleges that Trump has exhibited signs of a "mental decline that could not be denied" and says she even printed a study linking Diet Coke consumption to dementia and strokes and left it on his desk, according to a copy of the book obtained by the Associated Press.

Manigault Newman also describes Trump as a man who "loved conflict, chaos and confusion; he loved seeing people argue or fight."

The book alleges that Manigault Newman was offered $15,000 a month from the president's campaign coffers to stay silent after she was fired from the White House last December.

Manigault Newman claims she personally witnessed Trump using derogatory language while in the White House.

Trump would turn to hateful phrases when discussing White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's husband George Conway, who is half Filipino.

"Would you look at this George Conway article?" Trump said during one exchange, according to the book. "F _ -ing FLIP! Disloyal! F _ -ing Goo-goo."

Both terms are considered racist names for Filipinos.

The White House said the tome is "riddled with lies and falsehoods."
