Trump admits King Charles’ visit could repair UK-US relationship amid Starmer row

Donald Trump stated that the upcoming state visit by King Charles and Queen Camilla to the US could “absolutely” help repair relations between the UK and the US.
Trump described King Charles as a “fantastic” and “great man”, expressing confidence in the positive impact of the visit.
The comments come amid strained relations between the US president and the UK prime minister, with Trump previously criticising the UK's approach to the Iran war and Sir Keir Starmer.
The state visit, scheduled for the end of the month, will commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence.
King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to meet the US president and First Lady for a private tea during their visit.
