True crime fans can get paid to watch 24 hours of grisly murder documentaries

Crime doesn't pay - but watching hour upon hour of grisly murder documentaries does.

If you're a true crime fan who can handle the real-life stories of the world's most infamous serial killers and haunting details of the paranormal, MagellanTV may have the perfect job for you.

The documentary streaming service wants to put one candidate to the test by putting them through a terrifying 24-hour binge of back-to-back horror stories - while live streaming the whole thing to see if they crack.

The bill for the all-night fright fest consists of 16 titles including Manson's Missing Victims, Tortured to Death: Murdering the Nanny, and Last Confessions of the Cannibal.

It also includes dark dealings on subjects including illicit trafficking and organ trading on the black market.

If you manage to complete the task, you'll be given £800 ($1,000), a year's free subscription to MagellanTV, and three-month memberships for three of your friends or family.

Unfortunately, applications to take on the role are only open to those over the age of 18 and living in the US.

Those who fancy themselves for the job need to make their case in writing or with a video, including details of their true crime obsession and links to their social media pages.

If you are the one chosen to take part in the All-Night Crime Watch, MagellanTV will provide guidelines on everything you need to do - and you don't even need to worry about nodding off for a nightmare filled nap, as you have 48 hours to complete all 16 horror stories.

Applications close on May 4 and you can click here to apply.
