True Corporation filed a petition with the Central Administrative Court yesterday to revoke the arbitration award given to TOT in their dispute over ADSL high-speed internet service.
TOT was awarded the judgement on Sept 4, 2018.
True emphasised it did not breach the contract in dispute with TOT for joint operation and joint investment in providing ADSL. The company said it will consider all possible legal actions as appropriate until the case is final.
Previously, True was ordered by an arbitration tribunal to pay a penalty to TOT for breaching the agreement to provide ADSL service, or allowing other parties to make use of the system's equipment to provide ADSL service.
The penalty is reportedly more than 94 billion baht.
True was fighting a resolution from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission ordering True Move Co, a subsidiary of TUC, to pay 3.4 billion baht to the regulator.
The payment is related to the revenue it received from providing wireless telecom service on the 1800-megahertz spectrum during the subscriber protection period.
