A 36-year-old man was killed after a truck allegedly crashed into his motorcycle on Pataudi road near Manesar on Tuesday afternoon. The victim’s friend, who was riding pillion, was injured in the accident, the police said. The suspect driver allegedly fled the spot.
According to the police, the deceased, Pankaj, and his friend, Ravindra Kumar, worked at a private pathology lab in Pataudi. The police said the incident took place around 4 pm.
The police said that the doctors declared Pankaj dead on arrival.
Haresh Kumar, assistant sub-inspector (ASI), Farrukhnagar police station, said, “We are probing the case. The suspect is yet to be arrested.”
A case was registered against the suspect under sections 279, 304A and 427 at Farrukhnagar police station on Tuesday.
In another incident, a man was killed after his cycle was allegedly hit by an unidentified vehicle near Khushboo Chowk on the Gurugram-Faridabad road on Monday evening. The police said that the victim was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Center in Delhi where he died under treatment.
According to the police, the incident was reported on Tuesday around 8.50pm, and thereafter, an FIR was registered on the basis of a complaint from the victim’s brother. The police said that the victim was from of Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh.
A case was registered at DLF Phase 1 police station.
