Northbound lanes re-open on the M1 after truck fire

Two northbound lanes of the M1 Pacific Motorway have reopened after an earlier truck fire near Jolls Bridge.

All northbound lanes of the motorway were closed, with light vehicles being diverted onto the Pacific Highway just past the Hawkesbury River Bridge.

One northbound lane remains closed at the incident site, with emergency services and traffic crews still working to salvage the truck.

Northbound traffic remains heavy so motorists are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time.

NSW Police said they were called to reports of a semi-trailer fire around 1.20pm, but it is understood no one has been injured. Traffic diversions have been put in place, the fire has been extinguished, and preparations were underway to clear the road.
