A 35-year-old truck driver was found dead at his house in Govindaraj Nagar on Wednesday. According to the police, the deceased, Kiran Kumar, had killed himself. “We found a video clip on his mobile phone claiming that he hadn’t been paid for a month by the logistics company he worked for. He demanded that his employer pay him ₹30,000 that was owed to him, failing which he would end his life on Wednesday night,” said a police officer, adding that the video had been sent to his employer.
Based on a complaint by his sister Jamuna, the police have registered a case against the employer, Manjanna, Shivanna and Manu, charging them under abetment to suicide .
