A man was trapped in a B-double truck after it collided with a car on the Hume Highway near Bowning.
One northbound lane of the highway near Lachlan Valley Way is closed and traffic is very heavy in the area.
Emergency services arrived at the scene just after 8am on Thursday.
Police said a man was trapped inside the truck and the state of his injuries were unknown.
Passengers in the car involved received minor injuries.
As of 9.15am, the highway was closed to northbound traffic and motorists were being advised to allow extra time and drive with caution.
