Troy Parrott has named the three positions he can play in Jose Mourinho's future Tottenham team

Troy Parrott will be hoping for a bit more luck after joining Ipswich Town on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

Linking up with Millwall during the summer, his time across the capital came to an early end after 14 appearances for the Championship club.

Dealt a blow at the beginning of the season after sustaining an ankle injury that ruled him out of 13 games, Parrott found himself in and out of the team when he did return to fitness in November.

An unused substitute in his final three games for the Lions, Tottenham felt it was the right time to recall him and send him to League One side Ipswich Town to ensure that his year away from the club proves to be a success rather than one to forget.

Potentially in line to make his debut for the Tractor Boys on Saturday at home to Blackpool, Parrott, who failed to score in his time at Millwall, has opened up on his move to Portman Road and also named the three positions he can play in for his new side.

“I’m happy to be here at a big club with good players and I’m excited to join for the second half of the season,” he said, as reported by East Anglian Daily Times. “It’s deadline day so it had to be done quickly but it went as smoothly as it could.

“Everyone can see the league table and where we are, with a couple of games in hand on some teams. Hopefully we can push for the promotion spots and hopefully I can score some goals.

"I love a challenge and I prefer to take that on than walk away, so I’m excited to get going.

“I work hard and score goals, that’s what’s got me to where I am today and I don’t plan on stopping now. I can play off the left and behind the striker but I’ve grown up as a striker, wearing No.9. I’m ready to go and feel match sharp.”

Tipped to have a big future in the game after scoring goals for fun for Tottenham's youngsters, the striker may well become a regular in one of those three positions in N17 in the not too distant future.
