Troy Aikman calls Richie Incognito the best guard in NFL despite Brandon Brooks being the highest-graded OL through Week 10

Troy Aikman is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game and a pretty good analyst, but his ability to grade talent leaves a lot to be desired. During the Thursday Night Football telecast featuring the Oakland Raiders battle against the LA Chargers, Aikman caught some flak for this statement about Richie Incognito.

Troy Aikman said he hasn’t seen any guard play as well as Richie Incognito this season. Best in the league, best he’s seen since Larry Allen. 🤔

Aikman made that statement knowing that Larry Allen is an 11x Pro Bowler, 7x first-team All-Pro, and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. ‘

The statement is even more ludicrous because of Incognito not being among the highest-graded offensive linemen in the NFL. That distinction goes to the Eagles Brandon Brooks, who’s played almost near-perfect football and is currently the highest-graded offensive linemen in the NFL per Pro Football Focus.

Brooks has yet to allow a sack and last week against the Bears, he recorded an almost perfect grade of 96.6.
