Trout expects to be back in the Angels lineup by Tuesday after a clean MRI

OAKLAND, Calif. _ An MRI exam of Mike Trout's tight left hamstring Sunday night came back clean, according to GM Billy Eppler, although Trout might not return to the Angels lineup Monday.

Trout said he's unsure if he will play Monday night but he was expecting to play Tuesday, the second game of a three-game series against the Oakland A's.

Trout has missed three of the Angels' past four games with the hamstring issue. Trout has missed as many as three straight games only once since becoming an everyday player, in 2013. He also had a minor hamstring issue then.
