Troubled Jeremy Kyle Show found after they went missing with their newborn baby

A troubled couple who appeared on ITV's controversial The Jeremy Kyle Show just weeks before it was axed went missing with their newborn baby.

Kayleigh Jones, 28, and Austin Edwards, 33, vanished from their home on June 14.

It is believed Kayleigh has since given birth to a baby boy.

Police became "extremely concerned" for the newborn's welfare but the three family members, of Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, were found safe today.

"We are pleased to announce that Kayleigh Jones and Austin Edwards, who went missing on 14th June, have been located," a South Wales Police spokesman said.

"Everybody is safe and well. Thank you all for your assistance."

Austin Edwards has been seen recently in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire (Bedfordshire Police)

The couple are both urged to confirm that they are safe and well and to make contact.

Anybody who sees them should call police on 101.

They appeared on the ITV show in April when Kayleigh claimed Austin had been abusing her both physically and mentally.

But in May, the programme was axed forever following the death of guest Steven Dymond , who died from an overdose shortly after filming.

On the show, the 63-year-old was shown to have failed a love-cheat lie detector test despite his claims he hadn't been unfaithful to his fiancée.

Since then, MPs blasted ITV bosses for not establishing the exact accuracy of lie detector tests used in The Jeremy Kyle Show.
