(Reuters) - Tropical Depression Eight has strengthened into Storm Gabrielle over the Atlantic, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.
Gabrielle is about 680 miles (1,090km) west northwest of the Cape Verde Islands, packing maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour, the NHC said.
