Barbados was on alert Sunday, a day after Tropical Storm Dorian formed in the Atlantic, with the National Hurricane Center warning it could reach hurricane strength by Tuesday.
The big picture: Dorian is the 4th tropical storm to form during this year’s Atlantic hurricane season, AP notes. It was moving westward at 12 mph, packing maximum sustained winds of 40 mph according to the hurricane center.
