Tropical Depression Thirty-One forms in central Caribbean Sea: NHC

Tropical Depression Thirty-One has formed in the central Caribbean Sea and is forecast to strengthen into a tropical storm later on Friday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.

The depression is located about 310 miles (500 km) south-southeast of Kingston, Jamaica, packing maximum sustained winds of 35 miles (55 km) per hour, the NHC said.
