Tropical cyclone expected to form near northwestern Bahamas: NHC

(Reuters) - A tropical cyclone is expected to form near the northwestern Bahamas, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Thursday in an advisory.

The system is located about 235 miles (380 kilometers) southeast of Great Abaco Island with maximum sustained winds of 30 miles per hour (45 kilometer/hour), the NHC said.
