Troon struck by graffiti attack as vandal runs riot in town

A half-wit sprayed slogans in more than a dozen places in Troon.

The graffiti spreads out from the railway station and includes the boundary wall of a disused garage.

A bus shelter, railway signs, lamp posts and street furniture including telephone switchgear were targeted.

The ned struck last week, using light green and pale blue spray paint.

Rail staff have cleaned up signs and a bus shelter in Dundonald Road which was emblazoned with grafitti tags has also been cleaned but other street furniture has been left vandalised.

The idiot appears to have started at the railway station, spraying the old boundary wall of the Ardneil Garage before heading up St Meddans Street.

A number of lamp posts and phone cabinets in Logan Drive were also damaged.

It is the first graffiti blitz in the town in recent memory.

Police asked any witnesses to contact them.
