Troon singer Scott Watson ready to bring show to Ayr's Forehill Primary

A top entertainer is to give school parents a sneak peak of his latest stage show.

And Scott Watson is hoping the general public jump at the unique chance to get in on the action.

The Troon singer will be in Ayr this Friday night to help raise funds for Forehill Primary's Parent Council.

On the bill is his show, featuring song, entertainment and even gameshow fun.

And the 25-year-old will be casting his scouting eye for potential talent to join him on the big stage later this year.

He told the Ayrshire Post: "My show, Scott Watson and Friends, debuts at the Palace Theatre in October.

"So this will be something of a trial run to see what people like and hopefully it goes down well.

"There will be plenty to keep people entertained on the night and as part of my own show, I'll be casting a couple of roles for the public.

"Auditions are coming up soon so you never know, I might spot someone in the audience here who fits the bill!"

Scott, whose performing career has taken him from Ibiza to Los Angeles, is a well known face at Forehill with dad, David, being the highly respected head teacher.

But it's impressed parents who've booked the popular performer as part of their fundraising night.

Scott said: "It's nice to help out around the school and I've done a lot of work with the kids before now so I'm pretty well known in there.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how the show goes down and it's a great chance for people to come along, have a couple of drinks and enjoy themselves."

The show kicks off this Friday at 7.30pm.

Tickets are just £5 on the door with all proceeds going to Forehill's Parent Council.
