Tromso chief issues 'nothing decided' update after £7.8m bid for Rangers target

Tromss sporting director Lars Petter Andressen has revealed "nothing has been decided" over a transfer exit for Rangers target Jens Hjerto-Dahl.

The Ibrox club have been heavily linked with a move for the 20-year-old midfielder this summer.

However, Cardiff City have reportedly tabled a £7.8m bid for Hjerto-Dahl and are awaiting a response to the offer.

Andressen has admitted Hjerto-Dahl could leave this summer, as he suggested up to four players could leave TIL.

But he has stated the club will not rush into a decision as he opened up on the expectation that more clubs will be interested in striking a deal.

On Nordly's FireFireBlod, Andressen said: "It can definitely happen.

"We talked about it last winter too: in theory, four players could leave.

"It’s always difficult to find the right timing: when can we sell and when should we keep them?

"TIL [Tromso] and Cardiff have had a dialogue over a period of time.

"At the same time, there should be other clubs that are close to the situation, and that means you don't want to rush into any decision.

"Nothing has been decided."

Hjerto-Dahl wouldn't be drawn on a possible exit to Cardiff after Tromso's loss to FC Hradec Kralove, in which he missed a penalty.

He said: "No comment.

"If it happens, you will get all the info you want, but now the focus is on TIL.

"We will see.

"I will contribute as long as I can and I am already looking forward to next week.

"I hope so [that I can play second leg]."
