Trombonists have the most oom-pah in the bedroom.
They topped a poll of 2,000 people asked to choose the best sex they’ve ever had with a musician.
Sixteen per cent said they hit the highest notes, with guitarists and French horn players joint second with 14%.
Trombone legends include Glenn Miller – famed for wartime jazz hit In The Mood.
One trombonist, accounts boss Gary Fletcher, 45, of High Wycombe, Bucks, said he wasn’t surprised at the results of the study.
He added: “At first I thought it was a bit of a duff instrument but as I got better I realised it was a magnet for attracting the opposite sex.”
But, despite blowing the biggest instrument of all, tuba players came last with just 0.5% finding them sexy.

One, Sally Allwood, 35, of Harrow, North London, disagreed, adding: “Luckily, my husband loves me playing as well and it often leads to him joining in on his trumpet. Then it’s hard to keep our hands to ourselves!”
Other instrumentalists who scored in the illicitencouters.com poll were: saxophonists (13%), violinists (11%), flautists (10%), pianists (9%), trumpeters (7%), drummers (6%), clarinetists (5%), oboists (3%), cellists and ukulele players (2%) and accordionists (1%).
