Dreamworks Animation's Trolls World Tour has become the longest-ever reigning #1 in UK film chart history.
Having beaten the 2020 record last week, it has now outlasted the all-time record previously held by Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Marvel's superhero finale Avengers: Endgame and musical sequel Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.
It should be mentioned, of course, that Trolls has been helped out by both the timing of its release and the current circumstances within the film industry.
Practically all sides of production have ground to a halt meaning the release of new titles has been limited.
Trolls sales will have also been boosted over this past summer by the amount of parents looking for different ways to entertain their young ones.
This may also account for the likes of Dolittle, Jumanji 2, Frozen 2, Onward and Sonic the Hedgehog's current position within the Top 10 - many of which have seen a rise over the past week.
There is just one newcomer in the overall Top 40. Deathstroke: Knights and Dragons - featuring Michael Chiklis in the lead role - narrowly misses out on the Top 10 coming in at #12.
