Choosing the perfect engagement ring is a tough task for anyone planning to pop the question.
So finding out your partner - and soon to be wife (or husband) - loves it is the biggest relief in the world.
But what do you do if you find out everyone else seems to hate it?
One woman was relentlessly mocked after sharing a photo of the ring her boyfriend picked out for her.
The 'minimalist' ring, which he bought from the online marketplace Etsy, is a plain silver band with a very small diamond.

She posted a snap in a wedding shaming Facebook group with the message: "My bf and I ordered my ring online and I am in LOVE with it!"
But before long the photo attracted a lot of negative comments, with people telling her the ring was awful and she shouldn't wear it, reports the Sun .
One wrote: "Why even bother having a diamond there."
Another added: "It's so pitiful, I just can’t. It's too sad."

One woman asked why she was even bothering to wear the ring.
Others compared it to a keyring and said the diamond looked more like a piece of tinfoil.
And it's not just the engagement ring which people have taken issue to, and a woman was given some very honest feedback after a sharing a snap of a dress she was planning to wear to a wedding.
Worried she would upstage the bride, she posted a photo on Mumsnet to see if people thought it was too much.
However people had a different with the dress, saying that it's not a nice design and she just shouldn't wear it regardless of etiquette.
"I've asked a couple of people now, it's about an inch of the floor at the back if I'm wearing flats which I intend to later on or with heels, 4/5 inches.

"Everyone I've asked (6 people) says it's fine and I should definitely wear it but if I were the bride, I feel as though I'd think whoever wore it was trying to steal the limelight (although, you can never truly upstage a bride)."
One wrote: "I think it's awful and unflattering and would look terrible with flats on. Don't do it send it back. I promise I'm not being rude or mean I am giving my genuine answer."
Another simply put: "I certainly wouldn’t worry about upstaging the bride in that."
