TRNSMT: Watch as 'newlyweds share first dance' during Paolo Nutini's main stage performance

A video has gone viral after appearing to show 'newlyweds' sharing their first dance during Paolo Nutini's headline TRNSMT performance.

As the Jenny Don't Be Hasty star played all the hits from the main stage at Glasgow Green, the couple were spotted in full wedding attire in the middle of the crowd.

As reported by the Daily Record, the couple are believed to have been married just hours before making their way to the TRNSMT festival site.

A video of the moment, now widely circulated on social media, shows them dancing away together when Paolo Nutini took to the stage as they celebrated their joyous occasion with friends and family who had joined them at the Green.

Sharing the video on Instagram, user Yer-Awrite wrote: “First time I’ve witnessed a first dance at TRNSMT fest. “Not many people get serenaded by Paolo Nutini.

“Congratulations tae the happy couple whoever ye ur.”

Paolo Nutini fans had mixed opinions after the Paisley singer took to the main stage at TRNSMT on Friday.

His latest album, Last Night in the Bittersweet, hit number one just before his set at the long-awaited music festival. But the Jenny Don't Be Hasty singer faced criticism from some ticket holders who slammed his setlist and alleged 'new style'.

Meanwhile, others were left thrilled at his big Glasgow comeback.
