TRNSMT reveller is asked why Scottish fans are the best - and he sums it up brilliantly

A TRNSMT fan has perfectly summed up just exactly what it is that makes Scottish crowds stand out.

The fan, who arrived at Glasgow Green yesterday in 22C heat, was asked by our reporter why he thinks TRNSMT is such a great festival, before next being asked why Scots audiences are the best.

Sitting on the grass in the sunshine, the cap-clad reveller was quick to answer.

He said: "They're f***ing mental. They're honestly f****ing mental. F****ing hell, they go crazy at f**k all.

The enthusiastic fan didn't stop there and made reference to Queen and Adam Lambert's rip-roaring performance for a bouncing crowd at 2018's festival.

He said: "F***ing if Queen goes on, honestly, f****ing booncing!"

We couldn't agree with him more.  He's definitely captured the spirit of the Scottish crowds, who are once again attending TRNSMT in their droves.

2019's festival kicked-off yesterday, with an estimated 50,000 fans descending on the Green.

Yesterday's highlights include Example headlining The King Tuts stage, and Gerry Cinnamon taking to the main stage to put on a rip roaring performance, before Stormzy closed with an epic show.

Fans are excited tonight for Richard Ashcroft playing the Main Stage before indie rockers Catfish and the Bottle-men close Saturdays show.

Tomorrow sees some fantastic bands such as The Kooks and The Wombats play during the day, The man of the moment Lewis Capaldi play the main stage, before George Ezra closes the festival to a sold out Sunday crowd.
