TRNSMT Festival 2021 food options as revellers prepare for first day at the Glasgow festival

Around 150,000 revellers are expected to descend on Glasgow Green this weekend for TRNSMT 2021.

The Courteeners, Liam Gallagher, The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream are among a number of acts that make up this year’s star-studded line-up.

It will be the first time that festival goers have been able to go to the popular three-day Glasgow event, after last year was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And while the focus will be primarily on the music, the organisers have also given punters an equally stunning line-up of food options this year.

TRNSMT has collaborated with the award-winning street food collective Big Feed to give music lovers a chance to sample some of Glasgow’s best food options.

Ten of the city’s most talked about eateries will be setting up shop for attendants in need of a scran in-between their favourite bands.

Scots will be able to feast upon gourmet hot dogs, home bakes, hand-stretched pizzas and delicious tacos as part of the new partnership.

All of the food on site will have to be paid for using credit or debit card or by using mobile payments, as TRNSMT goes cashless this year.

Those without access to a card are encouraged to bring along cash to exchange it at the bars for a BLEEP contactless device, which will be available to use throughout the site during the festival.

Here is a flavour of what to expect from the ten eateries that will be on site as soon as the gates open at 11am this afternoon.
