TRNSMT announce Emeli Sande will replace Jess Glynne on Sunday slot

Scottish singer Emeli Sande is set to replace Jess Glynne at the TRNSMT festival after she pulled out on health grounds.

The Next To Me singer will perform next Sunday at the Glasgow -based music event on the main stage which will include sets by George Ezra and Lewis Capaldi.

Jess Glynne told fans in a statement that she is struggling with her voice after a vocal chord haemmorhage.

Sande, from Aberdeen, shot to fame when she topped the charts with Read All About It with Professor Green in 2011.

Director Geoff Ellis said: "We are pleased to reveal that the incredible Emeli Sandé will join the Sunday bill for TRNSMT.

"She is an outstanding live performer and we’re looking forward to seeing her back on stage - perhaps with a preview of her forthcoming album Real Life.”
