TRNSMT 2021: The Snuts pull out of music festival after band members test positive for Covid

TRNSMT is now underway with around 50,000 people expected to walk through it's doors today alone after the gates opened at 11am this morning.

However in a blow to fans of Scottish indie band, The Snuts, they have had to pull out of the music festival after two members tested positive for Covid.

The West Lothian band, comprised of four members, Jack Cochrane, Joe McGillveray, Callum Wilson and Jordan Mackay, had been due to perform today at 5.10pm until 5.55pm.

Just like the acts, festival-goers must also take Covid lateral flow tests which must be taken within 48 hours of their arrival to the venue.

If revellers cannot provide proof of a negative lateral flow test, they will be denied entry.

In addition to testing, individuals will also need to wear face masks (unless exempt) when they are in queues, toilets and bar areas.

TRNSMT have said they will be strict when it comes to Covid guidelines with around 140 sanitising stations around the festival site.

This weekend Glasgow Live are making handy guides to all things TRNSMT as well as live blog - you can keep up with all that here.
