TRNSMT Festival 2021: Lateral flow tests, face masks and other Covid rules at festival

After much speculation about whether or not festivals were going to return this year, TRNSMT is back and bigger than ever.

With headlining performances from Oasis legend Liam Gallagher, Courteeners and many more, fans are rearing to get back into the crowd.

The easing of restrictions by the Scottish Government means the festival can go ahead at Glasgow Green with no restrictions, but attendees are being asked to take precautions.

All attendees for the 2021 festival are being instructed that they must provide proof of a negative lateral flow test to get access into festival, and failure to provide this can result in refusal of entry.

Tests must be registered on the Government website so fans are able to show their confirmation email or text showing their name, date of birth and date of test on arrival at the festival.

If attendees are going to multiple days of the festival, they will be required to provide a second lateral flow test 48 hours after their first test.

For example, if someone takes a lateral flow test on Friday morning, they will need to take another on Sunday before gaining entry to the festival.

Fans are urged to log their lateral flow test results here, in order to then get a confirmation email or text showing their negative result.

TRNSMT organisers are recommending fans to wear masks when taking public transport to and from the event, when in queues for food and drink and when queueing for/inside the toilet facilities.

Tickets are still available, and can be found here.
