TRNSMT 2019 kicks off as thousands of revellers arrive at Glasgow Green

TRNSMT is officially underway as over 50,000 revellers descend on Glasgow Green for a weekend of madness.

Thousands of music lovers are expected to attend the Glasgow festival over the next three days with temperatures and performances set to be sizzling.

This year's festival is expected to be bigger and better than ever before.

Headliners Gerry Cinamon and Stormzy are performing on the main stage tonight and fans can't wait to see what the boys have lined up.

Catfish and the Bottlemen and Bastille are amongst the big names performing on the main stage tomorrow night, with Scots singing sensations Lewis Capaldi and Emeli Sande doing sets on Sunday.

Yesterday Geoff Ellis gave the Daily Record an exclusive look around the site.

Organisers were putting the finishing touches to the site, and gave our reporter Jennifer Russell a sneak peak inside to see what fans could expect.

From the main stage, King Tut's stage, to the McNugget bar and Platform on Tour, the site will not dissapoint.
