Trisha Goddard’s talk show ‘to return to ITV after 16 years’

Trisha Goddard’s eponymous talk show is reportedly making a comeback after 16 years off our screens.

The presenter fronted her own programme on ITV from 1998 and 2004, before moving to Channel 5.

According to the Sun, bosses are keen for the 62-year-old star to return to a daytime slot with a source claiming production company Spun Gold - whose work includes The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Garden Rescue and Get Baking with Paul Hollywood - are behind the revival.

The insider is quoted as claiming the programme has the working title Talk to Trisha.

“But telly fans will recognise it for what it is — the old legendary show and her back together,” they continued.

Goddard is also sitting down for a tell-all chat as part of the upcoming series of Piers Morgan's Life Stories, Standard Online understands.

When contacted, a representative for Goddard said: "The current interest in such a television icon is quite wonderful."

When her Channel 5 show was cancelled in 2009, Goddard relocated to the US.

She continued to make appearances on British television though, most recently getting her skates on for this year’s Dancing On Ice.

Unfortunately, Goddard and her partner Łukasz Różycki became the first pair voted out in the January series.
