Trisha Goddard falls during Dancing On Ice launch show performance

Trisha Goddard became the first Dancing On Ice 2020 star to take a tumble during a live performance in Sunday night's launch show.

The TV star was skating with to Give It Up by KC and The Sunshine Band with her partner, Łukasz Różycki, when she fell during the first part of the routine.

But the 62-year-old refused to let the incident knock her confidence and she was soon back on her feet to finish the performance.

The judges awarded Trisha with just 13.5 points out of 40 - which left her at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield as she received her critiques, Trisha said: “I’m OK. I’m really angry with myself.”

Unfortunately, Trisha did not receive enough viewers' votes to save her from the skate off and she'll have to perform the routine in a fight for survival next week.

Her skate off opponent will be decided next Sunday when the second half of this year's couples perform for the first time.

Sunday's launch show saw Ian 'H' Watkins and Matt Evers make TV history by becoming the first same-sex couple to feature on the programme.

After their performance, H became tearful as did judge John Barrowman, who explained his tears were at the fact the pair "represent someone like me."
