AGARTALA: Trinamool Congress MP Dr Santanu Sen on Saturday alleged that Biplab Kumar Deb government in Tripura has crossed all democratic limit and openly threatening hotel owners, travel agents, drivers and other auxiliary service providers not to rent the services to Trinamool Congress in the state.
Sen told media that TMC had hired a star hotel here for holding a press conference on Saturday. However, last night Biplab Kumar Deb government had pressured the hotel management to cancel the event and warned them not to allow any TMC leader to stay in the hotel.
“We are not getting office space on hire in the capital city and other towns because of pressure from the ruling BJP and its administration. They might have not realised the sentiment of Tripura, as people are fed up with the undemocratic and anti-development activities of BJP and TMC comes up as an alternative,” Sen alleged.
In India every political party has right to set up its organisation in any part of the country. Sadly enough, the BJP in Tripura and the Biplab Kumar Deb government have been interrupting the democratic spirit in the state, he said.
Sen added that not only from BJP, supporters from both Congress and CPM have been strengthening Trinamool here.
