Triple Trouble!!

Schools across West Lothian welcomed pupils for the start of the new term yesterday.

And over 2000 excited new P1 pupils began their school careers.

It was an extra special day at Bankton Primary School in Murieston as Deacon, Finlay and Ruby Blacklaw joined their new classmates.

They are the only set of triplets to start a West Lothian school this year.

Acting headteacher Yvonne Ferguson said: “It is fantastic to welcome back all of our pupils with an extra special welcome to our brand new P1 pupils including Ruby, Deacon and Finlay.”

Three schools had two sets of twins starting: Howden St Andrew’s, St Mary’s Polbeth and Broxburn Primary.
