SAN DIEGO _ Justify won't be racing this summer at Del Mar _ or maybe ever again _ but the Triple Crown winner will make an appearance on the seaside track.
Del Mar Thoroughbred Club announced Tuesday that Justify will be paraded on the track Saturday following the fourth race. His appearance will be at approximately 3:40 p.m.
According to the track, Justify will be walked around the paddock several times, then go through the tunnel to the racetrack. From there he'll walk west for about 150 yards, then turn back and walk east to the end of the stretch, where he will exit the track.
Del Mar said additional details will be released Wednesday. The track also said Justify's rider, Hall of Famer Mike Smith, will sign autographs from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Plaza de Mexico near the large fountain.
