A surprising restaurant has been ranked as the best in Edinburgh by none other than TripAdvisor.
The popular reviewing site is a great tool to see which eateries are trending across the capital, and this week it appears that one maroon tinted restaurant has taken the top spot.
Opened in 2019, the Skyline Restaurant at Tynecastle Park has been ranked number one out of 1,741 food establishments in Edinburgh.
Located at the Heart of Midlothian stadium, it appears that the restaurant has been impressing locals with their dishes.
After serving up some home dining sets during lockdown, a host of five star reviews have flooded in for the Skyline, with some celebrating for Mother’s Day, Valentines Day or just a Friday night treat.
Speaking about their 'at home' set, one satisfied customer said:
"We have had a few 'dine in from home' meals over the last year but this was by far the best! Fine dining - not at all what you expect from a football club - and absolutely delicious!! Such good value as well when you consider the standard."
Another user gave five stars, adding: "The food was excellent quality and very tasty. Best takeaway meal over the past year."
Soon reopening for dine in customers once again, staff will be serving to visitors every Thursday-Sunday from April 29.
With dishes such as soup of the day, steak and the ‘Tyncastle Burger’ on offer, the restaurant is located on the top floor of the stadium with an outdoor balcony overlooking Gorgie.
However, after impressing with their lockdown dishes, we will have to wait and see if the Skyline can hold on to that top position once the sector reopens.
