Three people accused of being part of a Hunter drug syndicate will remain behind bars until they next appear in court.

Michael Vasilevski, 30, Tegan Lagazio, 28, and Jason Cucomanovski, 27, faced Newcastle local court on Monday after being arrested on Friday afternoon.

The arrests came during a raid where police allege they seized two kilograms of the drug ice, cash and a loaded pistol.

Mr Vasilevksi was charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group, dealing with property which is the proceeds of crime, possession of an unauthorised pistol, possession of ammunition without holding a licence and not keeping a firearm safely.

Mr Cucumanovski and Ms Lagazio were each charged with participating in a criminal group, dealing with property which is the proceeds of crime and two counts of supplying a prohibited drug.

Ms Lagazio applied for bail on Monday but the bid was rejected by Magistrate Susan Horan.

Police say they also seized a loaded Remington semi-automatic pistol.

Mr Vasilevski and Mr Cucomanovski did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

All three will face court again on November 7 when the brief of evidence is due.

Detectives formed Strike Force Betel in July to investigate alleged ice supply in Newcastle.
