Trio of horses enjoy casual stroll on Scots golf course as people stay at home in lockdown

A trio of horses enjoyed a casual stroll around a Scots golf course as players stay home in lockdown.

Locals in Aberdeen were stunned to see the three equine creatures casually walking around the fairways at the city's Hazlehead golf course this morning.

And punters joked that they looked 'neigh' bad as the pictures of the beasts were circulated on social media.

A resident had informed local news Facebook page Fubar of the development saying that walkers should be 'warned'.

But with courses closed some saw the lighter side of the issue.

One wrote: "At least some are getting use of the course."

Another added: "One seems to be missing. There should be FORE!"

It is unclear at this time where the horses have come from or how they got onto the Aberdeen City Council managed course.

At the start of the first lockdown last March social media was lit up by pictures of animals reclaiming areas usually inhabited by humans.

Viral images showed dolphins swimming in the canals of Venice and deer running through deserted streets.
