Trinny Woodall threatened to quit This Morning over criticism from show's boss

Trinny Woodall has spoken out about the moment she threatened to quit This Morning after a clash with show boss Martin Frizzell.

The 56-year-old fashion expert said that she was prepared to ditch the ITV daytime show after he disagreed with her wearing an item from her own clothing brand.

Speaking on The Emma Guns Show podcast last month, Trinny said that she was wearing a ring from her own brand and Frizzell said that she wasn't allowed to wear it in air, leading to Trinny saying that she can do without the show if she wasn't able to wear it.

Trinny said that she was wearing a large ring from her bespoke brand, Trinny London, and was shocked that she would be stopped from going on air.

Trinny said: "I always wear this ring cause I always wear big rings. After a while I remember the editor said: 'Trinny you can't wear that ring!' I was like 'Why not?'

'"He goes: 'Well because it's an ad for your brand.' I go: 'Darling it's the ring or me. I'm very happy to give up fashion on This Morning, but this is my ring, it's me. I always wear big rings, people can make of it what they will.'"

Trinny also alleged on the podcast that some stars on This Morning are given 'special treatment' but she was adamant that they would remain "nameless".

It has been a troubled couple of weeks on the show for Trinny, after she accidentally exclaimed "bloody" while speaking back to Phillip Schofield.

The 58-year-old co-host asked Trinny during a segment on the show: "Are you going to say anything?"

Trinny responded with an involuntary swear word as she hit back at him: "I will, I couldn’t bloody well hear you."

She then clapped her hand over her mouth but it was too late as the profanity had slipped out, leaving Trinny looking shocked while Phillip and Holly Willoughby saw the funny side to the mishap.
