Trinny Woodall pays tribute to her late ex-husband Johnny Elichaoff after tragic death

Trinny Woodall has shared a touching photo of her late ex-husband Johnny Elichaoff, with whom she shares daughter Lyla, 19.

Johnny tragically died in 2014 aged 55 after falling from a shopping centre roof.

Posting an emotional photo of the businessman alongside his daughter and Trinny, the What Not to Wear star, 58, wrote: "Forever in our hearts. 1959-2014

"There are many stages of grief and I think now after all the pain, anger and why, I just feel the tragic loss of a kind, funny, loyal man that I remember now from him at his best.

"For anyone going through loss I couldn’t recommend more 2 books by @juliasamuelmbe - Grief Works and This too shall pass. She was the greatest help to us at a very challenging time."

Trinny's heartfelt post was warmly received by her followers, including her What Not to Wear co-star Susannah Constantine, who wrote: "Our beloved Too Bad. Still a part of our family."

Johnny and Trinny got married in 1999 in London’s Knightsbridge before divorcing in 2009, but remained on friendly terms.

As well as daughter Lyla, Johnny has son Zak from his first marriage.

The Four Rooms antique dealer previously battled an addiction to prescription painkillers after breaking his leg in a motorbike accident, which he openly talked about.

Trinny, who has since launched beauty brand, Trinny London, discussed the aftermath of her husband's death on The Big Talk Show.

"When I was 50 Lyla's father died under tragic circumstances. I had stopped doing TV. I didn't have an income. I was living off the residue of a couple of books," she admitted.

"I remember I was at the funeral of my husband and afterwards I had people around to my house and I had some very good friends and they said 'Trinny we know you want to start this idea but you need to be responsible for Lyla. Maybe you should get a job instead?'

"I said to them I can't be 60 and wish I'd started it earlier. So they said send us the business plan when you're ready, and they were one of the first investors."

Trinny London soon established itself as a big hitter in the beauty industry after launching in 2017.

The brand has developed a reputation for versatile products, which often sell out fast before racking up huge waiting lists.

Speaking about its success, Trinny told Harper's Bazaar : "I’ve met more than 5,000 women over the last 20+ years and have a greater understanding of what goes on inside their heads. That experience of really understanding women is what’s enabled us to build Trinny London into a global beauty brand that speaks to real people of all ages."
