Trinity Way crash causes long delays after road closed

A crash on Trinity Way caused long delays for motorists in the city centre.

The incident, which happened anti-clockwise between Blackfriars Road and Chapel Street, caused tailbacks to Manchester Arena.

The road was initially closed at around 2.50pm and one lane was reopened 15 minutes later but the entire road was then closed again to allow the crashed vehicles to be removed.

In a tweet, a spokesman for TfGM warned drivers to expect delays.

The road was fully reopened at around 3.35pm but some delays are still expected.

It is not known whether anyone was injured in the crash.
