There are few nationalities more lauded for their approach to beauty than the French.
While us Brits garnered a reputation for fake-tan and a love of slap, they became revered for their barely-there bases, effortlessly bushy brows and ever-so-dewy glows.
It came as no surprise then when Duchess of Cambridge-approved French brand Sézane - which has become synonymous for encapsulating the country's perennially coveted flair - announced its debut beauty offering at the start of June.
The six-piece range is housed in chic and minimal vessels and all of the products are infused with the brand's signature L’Eau Sézane fragrance, a zingy and fresh citrus-based scent.
But would the beauty products live up to the hype that the clothes have so effortlessly crafted? I took them for a spin to find out.

If you're in the market for a heavenly-scented, milky-textured cream that parched legs positively drink up, look no further than Sézane's. While it wasn't exactly what I'd call immensely hydrating, it did provide my legs with a sweet smell and a much-needed dose of TLC.

I'm a sucker for a dreamy candle - particularly since WFH - and this one has been a mighty fine addition to my collection. It smells light, fresh and summery and, even better, burns evenly - which is hard to come by.

The chic bottle is reason enough to treat yourself to L'Eau Sézane, but the light citrusy notes of the eau de toilette are also sublime. If a more complicated and alluring scent is your preference, then you may want to give this one a miss, but if you're on the hunt for a refreshing scent, then look no further.
