Trick to squeeze lemons without a mess shows we've been doing it wrong for years

So apparently squeezing lemons is causing plenty of people a lot of stress in their lives.

The major problem was highlighted when a nutritionist who posted a video showing her method of extracting lemon juice with zero mess saw the clip rack up more than 370,000 views.

It seems we have all be suffering in silence, but now, thanks to Jacqui Baihn, we can master the art of successfully squeezing a lemon without the need to slice them in half and using one of those squeezer things.

Jacqui shared the video with the caption: "I was today years old when I found out you could do this" - and plenty of others were left wondering why they had never been told before.

All you need is a skewer (@jacquibaihn/TikTok)

To do it, all you'll need is a metal or wooden skewer long enough to piece a hole from the top of the lemon all the way through to the other side.

After making the holes, Jacqui removes the skewer and holds the lemon with one of openings pointing over a mug.

She then simply squeezes the lemon, and juice flows into the cup with no pips and no mess.

Asking her followers: "Did you know this!?" it was clear that, like us, many of them had never seen the 'mind-blowing' method before.

One replied to say: "Well, okay. Thanks again TikTok for teaching me more than my parents ever did."

Another wrote: "You can milk a lemon?!?"

A third commented: "OMG! I had no idea about this! Been squeezing lemons so wrong for so long."

It's not the only food hack nutrition expert Jacqui has shared on TikTok, as she also shares simple recipes to cook up your favourite food, as well as tips on how things like how to beat bloating and deal with IBS.
