Trick to neatly fold fitted bed sheet shows we've all been doing it wrong

We gave up trying to fold fitted bed sheets long ago and instead opt for the preferred method of throwing it into the cupboard and hoping for the best.

But a woman has shown her technique to perfectly fold one into a neat, flat rectangle - leading to others suspecting she may even be a wizard.

TikTok user Bubltea1 shared a video to show how it's done, gaining more than 400,000 views as people wonder why they never knew the simple hack before.

Captioning the clip 'folding hacks!' she begins standing up with two hands inside the corners of the fitted sheet, with the elasticated band facing her.

She then flips the corners inside out, and swaps hands to turn the sheet around before putting her hands back into the corners.

She places the right hand corner neatly over the left so they are stacked on top of one another before rotating the sheet 90 degrees and repeating the previous step, as shown in the video above.

It creates a rectangle shape with the extra material folded away inside, which she then lays on the floor to fold to a size smaller than a pillow case.

People vowed to try it out for themselves, as one replied: "I never knew! I always get so frustrated folding that."

A second said: "I wondered why it never worked for me. I was doing it wrong all the time."

Others commented "This is witchcraft!" as another wrote "Finally someone solves the mystery."

Not finished there, she later added a second video showing how she puts a sheet on the duvet and this one really might be wizardry.

She lays the duvet on top of the sheet, rolls it all up, flips a couple of corners, buttons the bottom and it's all done. There's definitely some magic going on. You can see it here.
