CHANDIGARH/MOHALI/PANCHKULA: In Chandigarh, nine patients tested positive for Covid and 22 patients were discharged, taking the active cases to 98 on Friday. Positivity rate has declined to 0.48%. The total discharged patients are 90,522 while confirmed cases are 91,785 including 1,165 deaths. There are eight patients on oxygen support, while seven are on ventilators.
Mohali reported 17 Covid cases and no death on Friday. Of the 95,602 cases reported so far, 94,390 patients have been cured. There are 64 active cases and the district’s death toll is 1,148 so far. As for vaccination, 4,411 people were vaccinated on Friday. The first dose was administered to 663, including 147 in the age group of 15 to 17 years and the second dose was administered to 3,690, including 776 in the age group of 15 to 17 years. As many as 58 persons received the booster dose. So far, 11,16,501 have received the first dose and 7,63,806 the second.
In Panchkula, 10 Covid cases and no death were reported on Friday. Of the 44,075 cases reported so far, 43,624 patients have been cured. There are 37 active cases. The district’s death toll so far is 414.
Meanwhile, 559 people were vaccinated on Friday. The first dose was administered to 44, including 18 in the age group of 15 to 17 years and the second was administered to 220, including 79 in the age group of 15 to 17 years. As many as 295 persons received the booster dose. tnn
