CHANDIGARH: Tricity dermatologist and dermato-laser surgeon Dr Vikas Sharma, chief consultant, National Skin Hospital, Mansa Devi Complex will attend the American Academy of Dermatology conference at Boston, Massachusetts from March 25 to 29.
The conference will focus on the influence of Covid-19 and its variants on skin and hair with latest advances in the field of dermatology and dermato-laser surgery.
“In lots of Covid patients, skin and mucosal lesions served as an early diagnostic marker of the highly transmissible viral infection, helping in the early and specific management of the condition. Coronavirus and its variants have also influenced the course of chronic dermatological disorders, necessitating the need to modify treatment strategies of many skin and hair disorders during the Covid pandemic,” Dr Sharma said.
