TRICHY: The Trichy international airport has established a facility for outbound international passengers to undergo rapid PCR test ahead of their departure.
As many countries seek a negative Covid test, the facility will enable a smooth immigration process. Airport director S Dharmaraj said that the airport has tied up with a diagnostics laboratory in Trichy to collect samples from the passengers.
“Passengers can give their samples four hours before their scheduled departure. Results will be provided to them within a couple of hours,” he said. It will offer a sigh of relief to UAE-bound passengers who have been asked to present the result of the test conducted on the day of departure.
