Good afternoon, these are the lunchtime ECHO headlines this Friday October 29.

Tributes to 'true warrior' after man found dead near station

Tributes have been paid to a man whose body was found near Roby train station.

British Transport Police confirmed the man was found at around 6.45pm on Thursday, October 21, on the tracks near the station.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to provide treatment to the man, named locally as Kev Mc and known by the nickname Stirzy, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

This week, heartbreaking tributes have been left outside Roby station, on Station Road, including bouquets of flowers, blue balloons and candles.

One of the tributes left at the scene reads: "We are going to miss you. Was the life and soul of our parties and a great friend.

Teen shot with handgun, police confirm

A handgun was used in the fatal shooting of a popular 19-year-old man, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called out to Boode Croft in Stockbridge Village at around 6.30pm on November 12 last year following reports of a shooting.

Paramedics fought in vain to save the life of Nyle Corrigan, who died at the scene. Mr Corrigan, who lived in the area, was shot in the back.

Police have now said a handgun was used in the shooting.

Police have made 11 arrests so far in relation to the shooting but no charges have been brought.

Kerry Katona's OnlyFans success makes her a millionaire

Kerry Katona is only going up from here after recently announcing she is a millionaire again.

The 41-year-old from Warrington now earns 'tens of thousands' per month and last night, she was crowned the winner of Celebrity Ghost Trip.

But life for Kerry hasn't always been so easy.

In 2008, Kerry declared bankruptcy and during the pandemic she had to borrow cash from her mum after work dried up.

But since joining OnlyFans in 2020 she has made her first million and says she is 'so, so proud'.
