Tributes have poured in for a 13-year-old boy who died after he was hit by a car on East Lancashire Road.
Harry Kinney-Ryan was struck by a silver Vauxhall Astra Estate as he walked on East Lancashire Road, close to the Stonedale Retail Park, at 7.25pm on Wednesday, December 7. He was rushed to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in a critical condition, where he died yesterday, December 9
His great-uncle Teddy Williams posted on Facebook: "This lovely young guy is my nephew Harry. He would have been just 14 on January 12, 2023.

"On Wednesday he was knocked down on the East Lancs Road and the life support machine has now been turned off and Harry has gained his wings. My whole family are naturally absolutely devastated. Harry is my sister's grandson.
He added: "I do not know how we go on from here but we have to be strong and our lives must go on. Harry will be forever young."

A 34-year-old man was arrested and bailed pending further inquiries while a police investigation into causing death by dangerous driving continues.
Detective sergeant Andy Roper, from Merseyside Police's matrix serious collision investigation unit, said: "Harry’s family are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers as our enquiries continue and our thoughts are with them at this sad time.
"If you were travelling on the East Lancashire Road around the time of the incident and have any dashcam footage that could help us with our investigation, or you have any CCTV or information please come forward.
A fund-raiser for Harry's family has been set up in his memory.
