Tributes are pouring in for a 'pure gent' who died following a horror crash in Aberdeenshire.
We told how Stanley Morrison from Macduff passed away following the two-car smash on the A950 Mintlaw to New Pitsligo Road on Friday afternoon.
The 83-year-old has been hailed as a 'topper of a man' who will be 'sorely missed' by loved ones in public tributes.
One wrote: "Our thoughts are with the family at this very sad time .
"Stanley was a pure gent who never passed you without a word."
Another posted: "Such a shame, top man was Stanley.
"Will be sorely missed.
"Thoughts with his family."
A third added: "Such sad news.
"Stanley was a gentleman.
"Thoughts go out to the family."
Another commented: "Such a shame.
"Stanley was a topper of a man.
"Thoughts with his family."
Emergency crews were called to the scene at around 5.50pm and while Stanley sadly died, a second man was seriously injured.
He was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
His current medical condition has not been disclosed.
Police launched an investigation into the incident.
Officers on Monday evening confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Scott Deans said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who has tragically died.
“Our enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
"I would urge anyone who has any information surrounding the crash to get in contact with police.
